Every Friday for over a year hundreds of people join a kind of writing challenge flash mob.  It’s the brainchild of blogger Lisa-Jo  Baker on her website, Tales of a Gypsy Mama.
Every Friday there is a word – a writing challenge prompt.  Basic directions- set a timer for 5 minutes, write a post, stop after 5 minutes, no major editing.  Post it, link up and encourage the writer who linked up before you.

Five Minute Friday with Lisa Jo Baker 200x2001 Five Minute Friday Writing Challendge: Word Prompt Again

January 25, 2013

I find myself in this place over and over.

I am sometimes humbled and other times ashamed that I am here…. Again.

I am here, down on my knees crying out to my Father, “Please forgive me Lord, I have messed up….again.”

Then there are other times, I’m not on my  knees. I’m upright as if all is right with me, then like a slap in the face, I see the sin, or hear the sin, or recognize the sin when I look in the mirror, hear my words, recognize my thoughts.

I am humbled, because I didn’t recognize it at first,

But there it is again.  Before I feel shame,  I remember something else.what is grace Five Minute Friday Writing Challendge: Word Prompt Again I may sin again and again.  I can repent again and again.

Praise God He gives Grace again, and again, and AGAIN.

Hi, Karen. I’m coming to you from Lisa-Jo Baker. I cannot figure out to how to comment on today’s “afraid” post so I’m commenting here. I hope you find it. So sorry for the confusion.

What a beautiful statement there at the end about not wanting to be full of you but instead full of Jesus. Oh, what wondrous things Christ could do through each of us if we let him be in control of our big mouths. I’m currently reading, 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess (fabulous book. I highly recommend) and the author speaks often of emptying herself that Christ might have room to fill her. Your statement reminded me of this book. I think the Lord is telling me to be less, say less and allow Him to be heard through me as He moves. Thank you for sharing!

Thanks for your comments, thoughts and info on Book Lesley. I feel the same way. Like to get rid of lots of excess- much if it in my mind- comes out my mouth. Had a wonderful yoga class this morning (yoga for Christian women- newbies to yoga :) ) and we got to stretch and strengthen our bodies and quiet our minds. Was great! Great meeting you here- see you next week. :)
